General information It is recommended to disable G-Sync/Free-Sync to prevent any issue before you continue on this guide!
NVIDIA -> Toggle G-Sync
AMD -> Toggle Free-Sync
FUSER for DMA Users ( Ignore if you don't know what this is )
Please contact your manufacturer/developer to change your device EDID profile instead of following this guide!
Download CRU utility: Click here to download.
Extract the files on Desktop.
Run CRU.exe as admin.
Press Edit on each monitor profile and do following:
ID Serial #: Change the last 4 digits to something random.
Serial Number: Change the last 4 digits to something random.
If empty, just keep it empty.
Repeat this with all other monitor profiles.
If the same monitor has multiple profiles, ensure its same digits you change!
After all are changed exit application & restart your computer.
Troubleshooting
If your unable to boot after doing changes and having a black screen then do this:
Unplug your monitor(s).
Restart Computer, wait a minute
Plug in the monitor again, then restart pc again
If still black screen you might need to repeat this a couple of time or change the port your using.
If your back in Windows please ensure in CRU that serials are still changed if not please disable G-Sync or Free-Sync on your monitor and graphics settings then repeat the steps.
