AMD RAID
Installing windows with AMD raid setup.
Download drivers
You can see in the SimpleRaidChecker.exe what type of CPU you have. If you find your CPU in the list of AM5 CPUs use the corresponding driver.
Extract drivers to installation medium
Right click drivers files you downloaded and extract them on to your installation medium (USB stick).
Enabling the RAID mode
Restart your computer and enter the BIOS again.
Locate following options and set the to following value:
Set
SATA mode/controller
->[ RAID mode ]
Can also be called AHCI or similar.
Set
NVMe mode
->[ RAID mode ]
If you don't have NVMe make sure SATA mode is set.
Set
CSM
->[ Disabled ]
If you don't have CSM ensure UEFI is enabled.
Save & exit the BIOS, then return back to BIOS again!
Clearing disks
Back in BIOS locate following option: Advanced
-> RAIDXpert2
In the RAIDXpert2 menu do the following:
Enter
Manage Arrays / Array Management
.Select
Delete Arrays
(if not grayed out).Select every single disk you have!
Confirm to delete (this will delete all data on the disks).
If successful it will say: No more disks to delete!
Creating array(s)
In RAIDXpert2 navigate to Manage Arrays / Array Management
-> Create Array
.
Select the right tab corresponding on disks you have:
LEVEL / TYPE
-> VOLUME
or RAIDABLE
Select Physical Disks
-> Select your physical disk and confirm it.
Press Create array
to create the array.
Repeat if needed with missing disks. All disks must be in a RAID array in the end!
Installing windows
Save & exit the BIOS and ensure only the Windows setup USB stick is plugged in your pc.
You should see the Windows setup like in image below!

Change the language settings if needed.
Press
next
in the setup.If the setup ask your for product key, select
I don't have a product key
Select the operating system:
Windows 10/11 Pro
Accept the TOS and
press next
.Select Custom:
Install Windows only (advanced)
Now at setup step
Where do you want to install Windows?
you selectLoad driver
.Navigate to the USB stick.
Open the driver folder you unpacked on USB stick.
If you using Windows 11 you select
W11
elseW10
folder.Then select folder
NVMe_CC
orNVMe_DID.
Select folder
1
and confirm to load driver.Repeat this with folder
2,3
after process is done disk(s) should be available.
Select the disk you want to install Windows on and press next.
After installation is done the computer should restart.
You can remove the USB stick now.
